This blog is a written journey through my masters degree program. The title Seacrching for a Science Eye is an overall description of my what I am working on. As I travel through my program picking up new and innovative ways to motivate my students I am seeking to eventually attain an "eye" for Science! I want my class to be engaging and fun. Come along with me as I continue to build on my own learner in order to teach others! Enjoy

Hello, Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteElectro City! Now that was a cool presentation.
Electro City reminds me a lot of the old Sim City games I used to play. It seems that this one, though, is more geared towards science and game management than just game management itself.
How do you use Electro City in your class (if you already use it, that is)? I could see some students working on this during their science time, especially when they have to get to the piece about conservation of energy. I know our fifth graders take the state assessment in science, and Electro City could be a fun way to get out of the monotony of what they think science is. Sorry, I've heard a lot of students say that science is boring.
I think Electro City can be a good start to change that attitude.
Thank you for your presentation.
Stephanie, I LOVED your movie. Really well done!
